The Not So Reflux Baby Returns?

Good morning everyone!  Can you believe tomorrow is the start of July? Where is the time going?!

My husband and I have been relaxing since coming home from the hospital with our son. I think the Prevacid is working for my son. It’s really nice not having a screaming, acid puking baby at night. I haven’t had my shirt completely soaked in a mix 0f spit up, vomit, and acid in the last couple of days AND Leo is sleeping through the night again. Hallelujah. The only question remains is how long will it last before we have to switch to another medicine?

The only issue Leo has remaining is the coughing, wheezing, and now snot bubbles. At my play date, however, I learned from my two other mommy friends that their children had symptoms very similar to Leo’s before a tooth came in. Leo does have 3 he’s working on with one so close to showing. I’m praying that’s all it is!

It’s been pretty toasty where I’m at and it’s made me almost afraid to go outside with my son. I’ve been making most of our outings either in early morning or after 4:00PM. I would much rather have the heat than a severe thunderstorm. I’d much rather have snow. Technically I’d much rather have anything other than a storm. Speaking of hot weather I’m sure you have heard about the wildfires in Colorado. My good friend Jessica from Operation Mommiehood lives in Colorado and I am so worried about her! If you haven’t yet, please pray/wish/hope/do a rain-dance for Colorado. The pictures are devastating.

Going through my Mom VoxBox has been a blast. I’ve successfully devoured the Quaker Soft Baked Cookies.  My review for that will be up soon. I’m not sure which I want to try next. I’m either going to go for a glass of Stash Iced Tea with Nektar Honey Crystals or I’m going to review the Dish Drying Mat. I also received my product from a clothing company and let me tell you: you will be blown away. That will be coming up later on this week!

I’m going to get my Saturday started. My husband is working which means it’s a Mommy and Leo day! I want to go to a few garage sales.

  2. So glad your little one is feeling better! Reflux is the worst.

  3. Both of my kids had reflux for the first 7 or so months. It was awful. We finally found a medication that worked. Nexium was a life-saver. It’s so hard to watch babies be sick and in pain! I hope the Prevacid continues to work!

  4. Both of our boys have reflux, and the first year is definitely the worse! We did the medicine jump! For our oldest he was more of a “happy spitter,” so although it was A LOT it really didn’t bother him, so it wasn’t even worth it, but our youngest was miserable! He did have similar symptoms when he would be teething as well, so that could be it! I do hope that’s all it is for him and that the Prevacid continues to work!

I’m so happy to hear your little Leo is doing better. I prayed for him daily.God is good and He does answer our prayers. I hope you and your family have a fun & safe 4th! God Bless.

I can sure relate to the Reflux baby, my adopted son could spit up and hit me from his fathers arms even if I was 4 feet away. His mother and I started wearing large skirts so that when he started vomiting we could catch it in our skirts and keep it off of the furniture and the carpet. Plus since they were skirts we could dump his puke in the toilet and take them off with out having to risk it getting in our hair or any other place that he hadn’t already hit. He was on Nexium for about 1 year and is now managed only if he starts spitting up more than 2 times in 1 one day with zantac which he hates because it has a very strong mint flavor.
