My husband, Matthew, hates eating salads unless they’re from a restaurant. To my husband a restaurant salad equals filling, tasty, and a great value. Because of his mindset it is like pulling teeth from a grizzly bear to get him to eat a homemade salad. With my husband’s health a priority I am determined to get him to realize a delicious salad can be made right at home. So I decided to conduct a little experiment with the help of Lean Cuisine. Lean Cuisine recently came out with Lean Cuisine Salad Additions. They make having a restaurant quality salad easy without breaking the bank. All you need to buy is a package of your favorite Lean Cuisine Salad Additions and lettuce. To conduct the great Lean Cuisine Salad Additions experiment I went on a quick shopping trip at my local Walmart while my husband was watching our son. I also purchased a restaurant salad.
Creating a fresh restaurant style salad with Lean Cuisine Salad Additions literally took less than 5 minutes. While the chicken & vegetable pouch was cooking in the microwave for 2 & a half minutes I cut Romaine Lettuce. Then I helped the dressing thaw by placing it under running water. For my experiment to work I made sure the restaurant salad and Lean Cuisine Asian-Style Salad I selected were on both on dinner plates. I didn’t want any hints with special packaging to give it away.
My son was down for his nap which meant it was time to conduct the experiment. I asked Matthew to come into the kitchen to try both salads. First one up: Lean Cuisine Salad Additions Asian-Style Salad.
Next he tried the restaurant salad.
After tasting both of the salads I asked Matthew which one he thought I bought from a restaurant was. He paused and replied “Wait. Isn’t both of these from a restaurant?” Aha! My experiment was a success. Score 1-0 Desiree. Lean Cuisine Salad Additions make it super easy to get a restaurant quality salad at a great value. After I told my husband which one was the restaurant salad he was very surprised at how fresh tasting the chicken in the Lean Cuisine Salad Additions Asian-Style salad is. I think I finally convinced Matthew a delicious salad can be made at home.
