I wish I was here to tell you how much fun I had in at the Kansas City #GracoSafety event. I wish I could share with you all my favorite pictures I took during the event. You’re not going to get that, sadly. Saturday didn’t go as planned. Our vehicle wouldn’t start up Friday night or Saturday morning. Luckily Jacqui and the event organizer were very understanding. I feel like I let everyone down. I was really looking forward to being in Kansas City.
Since my plans changed I decided to try to make the best out of it. I took Leo to the homecoming parade. Although it was Leo’s first parade, it was my first time going to the local homecoming parade. It was a long parade. I met up with my friend Kim & her family. We both had a wonderful time. I forgot how fun it was to watch marching bands.
I got a great picture of us together. I’m starting to see myself in Leo a little bit more and more every day.
After the parade we went to a park that’s close to my house. together. I’m sure it’s going to stay cold soon so I want to make sure Leo got some outdoor time. Silly me decided toI put Leo in the infant swing. It wasn’t until I looked at the sign above the swing that it was meant for babies a little bit older. Woops. Leo loved swinging. We stayed at the park for quite some time. I watched my son in amazement the entire time. It’s crazy how much they change in a short period of time. He is starting to enjoy doing things. God only knows how he will be a year from now.
Although I am very upset at how my Saturday didn’t get to go the day did turn out really good. They say things happen for a reason, right? I’ll get my chance at attending another blogger event in the future – I know it. For now I’m going to keep enjoying the simple things in life like watching parades.
