I’ve always had a knack for looking for kitchen utensils that are a little bit out of the ordinary. I get bored very easily with traditional utensils. I also have a love chopsticks. When I found out MoonSpoon was sending me a pair of their chopsticks for review I got excited.
MoonSpoon is a little shop manned by a husband & wife duo in the woods by the Maiden Creek in Pennsylvania. John & Julia “Spoons” were inspired by moonlight. Have you ever looked at the moon? When the moon is out the light creates contrast and a beautiful silhouette. The moon’s brilliant light is interpreted in every cherry wood piece MoonSpoon designs. Julia creates the designs while John does the carving work. In addition to the unique handcrafted designs, all edges are flame blackened.
There are two different collections to Moon Spoon. You have the original collection & gallery collection. The original collection features celestial shapes & silhouettes inspired by moonlight. The gallery collection is inspired by the moon’s light beaming through windows thus creating an architectural line.
I love the quality and detail in the chopsticks I received. You can tell a person’s craftsman ship on the simplest items. Seeing work put into these chopsticks makes me want to find the rest of their kitchen utensils. I’m also inspired in making my own sushi again to eat using my MoonSpoon chopsticks.
Visit MoonSpoon’s website to find a store near you where you can purchase these lovely utensils. MoonSpoon offers a wide range of wooden products from chopsticks to salad sets.

Love these chopsticks. They look like such great quality. I will have to check them out… my husband loves that kind of stuff!

There are some great tutortials on how to use chopsticks on the web, but I’m thinking about making a How-To Post!
These Moonspoon chopsticks have a gorgeous design, I love it! I don’t know how to use chopsticks, and yes I’ve tried, but failed big time. Do they give you pointers?

I didn’t get pointers from MoonSpoon themselves but there are some great tutorials out there. I might even make a “How to use chopsticks” post!
I’ve never had a talent for using chopsticks, but those look really nice!
