Kidgets

Introducing the newest addition to Family Dollar: Kidgets Diapers & Baby Wipes. If you read my blog you know I enjoy letting Leo try out different diapers (See Exhibit A & Exhibit B). When I was given the opportunity to review these diapers I immediately said yes.  Seeing the same diaper gets boring. I like to switch things up.

I don’t have a local Family Dollar in my town. Luckily I was heading to Joplin which is where I picked up a package of Kidgets Size 4 Diapers & Kidgets Baby Wipes. Family Dollar isn’t the first place I would think of purchasing diapers. To be frank: I’ve never walked foot into a Family Dollar. I wasn’t going to let my skepticism get the  best of me.  I was quite surprised at the selection Family Dollar had. I didn’t realize Family Dollar has such a large selection to choose from.  I almost wasn’t able to get the correct size diapers when I went. The particular Family Dollar I visited was in the middle of re-organizing the store. They had half of the Kidgets Diapers on one side of the store and the other half on the other side of the store. I managed to pick up the last Size 4 Kidgets diapers. Whew.

I have been using Kidgets Diapers for almost two weeks now and overall they hold up about the same as its competitors. I was very surprised by this. Leo never developed a diaper rash and he never experienced blow outs. Although the diapers held up great during the day we did happen to have leaking when he slept overnight with Kidgets diapers on. Leo has always been a heavy wetter though.

I managed to catch a few pictures of my ever-evolving toddler getting into the package of Kidgets diapers. I never thought I’d see the day where I can say toddler.  Leo has learned how to finally walk on his own.  Walking has opened up a brand new adventure with him.  What have I gotten myself into?

Kidgets Diapers

Kidgets keeps up with my very busy little man even if he thinks he should play with them. Sorry sweetheart, you can’t wear the diapers on your head.

The biggest lesson I learned is to be more open minded about where I purchase my son’s diapers. Kidgets Diapers may be available at a discount / variety store but their quality is excellent based on their value. I would buy Kidgets Diapers again if I was in a money pinch and I knew I was heading to town where Family Dollar was. If you have a Family Dollar in your area or you’re looking for an inexpensive diaper that doesn’t lack in quality then you should give Kidgets Diapers a try.

Kidgets are AWESOME diapers. I’ve been using them for about 6 months now. I was cloth diapering and got out of that habit when we took a family vacation this summer. Do you have an Aldi store near you? They have very good diapers, too!!

  2. I kind of like the idea of these just because they’re not over-branded with characters and commercialized.
