I Want To Do Yoga, Too is a children’s book that shows Yoga can be fun for children too written by Carole P. Roman. Our main character, Hallie, goes with her mother to a Yoga studio. When Hallie isn’t allowed to join her mom’s Yoga class she complains to her babysitter. Little does Hallie know what surprises her babysitter has up her sleeves. You’ll be delighted to read Hallie learns from her babysitter.
I Want To Do Yoga, Too is a great introduction to Yoga for children. I’ve always been a supporter of family activities. It’s what I look forward to as Leo continues to get older. I never would have thought about Yoga being a family activity but after reading I Want To Do Yoga, Too I’d love to try some Yoga poses of my own. Maybe when Leo is a little older I can convince him too.
Carole P. Roman is also known for writing the whimsical children’s book Captain No Beard. Captain No Beard and his pirate ship The Flying Dragon set sail for a voyage of the imagination with his fearless crew of four: First Mate Hallie, Mongo the Monkey, Linus the loudmouthed lion, and Fribbit the floppy frog. Normally a young boy named Alexander, his cousin Hallie, and three stuffed animals, once they board his bed their world is transformed into a magical vessel, sailing the seven seas on dangerous and exciting adventures!
Captain No Beard – An Imaginary Tale of a Pirate’s Life named to Kirkus Reviews’ BEST OF 2012 for Children’s Indie Books, and garnered the star of remarkable merit! “Roman charms with an imaginative, whimsical picture book that will entertain even the oldest pirates.” – Kirkus Review.
Carole P. Roman is inspiring parents and children to not only use their imagination but get up and be active too. I recommend reading I Want To Do Yoga,Too and Captain No Beard to your little ones. You might be surprised what adventures your children will want to take you on.

My son LOVES yoga! He’s been practicing for nearly his entire life – he’s only 3.5. I think this book would be a great resource for those wanting their children to practice.

I am finding out that yoga is so natural for the kids today. I included my grandchildren in my class and that’s what inspired this book. I was surprised at how quickly they picked up the poses. I was invited to a local nursery school and when I read the book to them, the kids jumped up and knew each pose. How great is that!
This looks like a great book! I’ve been doing yoga with my oldest for a while now and she absolutely loves it!

I would love to do family yoga with my kids! I could definitely benefit from a good stretching, and the kids would have fun. My community centre offers a mom & toddler programme.
