I have expressed my love for Papa Murphy’s once before, but I don’t think I did their pizza justice. I need to show the world why I have pledged my allegiance to the Take ‘N’ Bake Revolution.
My stepson is going home tomorrow so I decided what better way to end our fantastic week together but with pizza. A lot of the pizzas you get at pizza restaurants or at your local grocery store aren’t made with fresh ingredients. With Papa Murphy’s you get a pizza made fresh right in front of your eyes.
The above photo is the inside of my local Papa Murphy’s. It’s a lot like going a fast food restaurant like Subway but they make pizza instead. I went today in hopes of getting a Taco Grande Pizza. Unfortunately they were done with promoting that specific pizza. The employee who was working there today said it probably won’t be back until next summer. Papa Murphy’s if you read this: PLEASE make the Taco Grande Pizza a permanent menu item! I decided to go with something I haven’t had before: The Gourmet Garlic Pizza with black olives. You can have your pizza made with three different crusts: Original, Thin Crust DeLite, or Stuffed. I chose original.
When the employee who is constructing your pizza is finished the pizza is wrapped neatly. They always include baking instructions. When you follow the baking instructions I recommend turning the pizza around half way through to make sure the crust is evenly cooked. My pizzas come out perfect each time when I turn them. Here’s another look of the pizza without the wrapping and before it was baked. It’s almost like a work of art.
The Gourmet Garlic Chicken has creamy garlic sauce, chicken, tomatoes, green onions, and a herb & cheese blend. I asked for black olives. You will be amazed at the finished pie.
Look at that beautiful pizza. The pizza was cooked to perfect, and I never have a greasy crust. Unfortunately, the pizza didn’t last long at my house. I’ll definitely buy the Gourmet Garlic Chicken Pizza again.
My parents also decided to purchase a pizza from Papa Murphy’s. When they realized I was working on a blog about Papa Murphy’s they invited me to take a picture of their pizza. They bought a stuffed Hawaiian Pie (Ham, Pinapple). My jaw dropped at the size of the pizza. If you’ve ever wondered how one of Papa Murphy’s stuffed crust pizzas looks after it’s done in the oven you won’t be disappointed.
If either of the pizzas you have seen today doesn’t convince you to try a take ‘n’ bake pizza instead of the frozen pizza or delivery pizza variety I don’t know what will. Papa Murphy’s has changed how I enjoy pizza, and I don’t think I’ll ever look back.

My family LOVES Papa Murphy’s! You can really taste the freshness. They always put on plenty of toppings and they always come out perfectly. As vegetarians, we also have lots of choices not available at other pizza chains… like four different sauces, two types of tomato, and veggies that are considered a bit “exotic” in the area I live. I also love that they offer a super-thin deLITE crust that allows you to indulge in pizza without destroying your diet.
You made me hungry for one!
We have a local Papa Murphy’s,but I have yet to try their pizza yet. Think I’m gonna have to give it a try beings my family loves pizza and your great review!
I absolutely love Papa Murphy’s Pizza! I didn’t know they offered stuffed pizza, probably because my kids don’t like to change up our pizza choices. I am amazed at how delicious it looks! I may need to buy one just for me next time, since the kids are picky eaters.
