It’s finally here – yippee! Today is my first day on Nutrisystem. I reached the frozen portion of my first month yesterday, and a few hours ago I received my shelf stable food. As I promised I want to show you the food I received. I never imagined I would have so much of a selection with Nutrisystem. As apart of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program I wasn’t able to choose the frozen food selections but when you sign up for Nutrisyste you can. There are so many of the meals I’d love to try in the upcoming months! I was able to choose all of my shelf stable breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert items. I had such a hard time choosing that I decided I wanted to try as much as I could in this order. My husband was blown away at how much food I received. As I am typing this I have part of my first month’s worth of food put up. I’m waiting for Leo to wake up from his nap so I can put the second half up.
First up is my shelf stable food order*:
*Cat not included
Nutrisystem has each meal color coded making it easy for me to choose what I want when I want. Included with this order of food was my Women’s Success Select Resource Guide, a Daily Planner to keep track of my food, and a 32oz water bottle to keep track of my water intake. Anyone else eyeballing the Chocolate Frosted Donut or is it just me?
Next up is my frozen food. I received this yesterday (Friday) so as I stated earlier I started Nutrisystem this morning. I had enough of an idea of what I needed to do to get the day started. Not only can I log my food or learn about the program in the booklets I received you can also do the same thing online. There is even an mobile app you can download for your phone but I will talk about the mobile app in a later post.
Breakfast Frozen Foods:
Again this is just a small sampling of their frozen foods. I am very happy with what I received. My very first Nutrisystem breakfast was the Garden Vegetable Omelet. It was soooo good! I promise that I am not saying the following statement because I am apart of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program. I am saying the following because I truly believe it.:
The Garden Vegetable Omelet was the best omelet I’ve ever had. Period. It didn’t taste like “diet” food. I wasn’t reminded of “diet” food. Quite honestly I think I could have a Garden Vegetable Omelet for breakfast everyday that I am on Nutrisystem. It is that good.
Needless to say that omelet reassured me that I am going to love this program. The portions may be a lot smaller than what I am use to but those portions is what I should be eating anyways. No one said weight loss was easy.
Lunch Frozen Foods:
Dessert Frozen Foods:
Don’t those desserts look yummy? I am either having the Chocolate Cheesecake or Red Velvet Whoopie Pie tonight for dessert. Can you believe I’m actually having dessert on a “diet?” I’ve never been this excited about food before. I’ve never been excited about losing weight. I have this entirely different mindset this time around. I have successfully went to the gym the last 6 days. It would have been 7 days but I’ve always read that your body should get a day or two of resting. I did get in my activity just by running after my 10 month old. I am happy going to the gym. I want this positive attitude to stay with me. I’m sick of being being fat. I’m sick of being unhealthy. I’m done. No more excuses.
There’s no weigh in today. I am still at 253.8. I was pretty bummed to know that I actually gained 13 pounds in the last couple months. I should have calibrated my weight scale first! I will begin weighing myself every Saturday morning. I do however have my measurements which I’m not proud of. I’m more upset about this than I am my weight (and that’s saying a lot). I’m hoping to see some of these inches go next month.
14″ upper arms
48 1/2″ waist
29 1/2″ thighs
I encourage you guys to stick with me every week. Actually, I’m going to beg you. I need all the encouragement I can get.
