Citrus Lane Review

Subscription boxes are the latest craze. For a monthly fee you can get a box full of products generally double the amount you pay for right at your doorstep. With the variety available I have been overwhelmed with making a decision on which one I would like to invest in. I’m always afraid of not getting what I pay for and the idea of a subscription box is still new to me. I stumbled upon Citrus Lane while shopping for a monthly subscription box and I got a great first impression.

Citrus Lane is different than regular subscription boxes. Every month you get a box filled with practical and cute products recommended by parents for newborns up to 3 years old. Unlike other subscription box services where a company pays for placement in their box, Citrus Lane chooses only the best products to include.  Each month is a completely different theme and what’s in the box  is based on your child’s age. It’s also delivered right to your doorstep. How neat is that?

Citrus Lane also has you covered if you’re a Mom-to-be. They designed a special Deluxe Shower Box just for expecting moms & their newborns.

Citrus Lane generously offered to send me their July 2012 box “Bon Voyage” for me to review.  I was so excited in getting goodies for my son to enjoy. Don’t get me wrong I love trying items to improve MY life, but there is a certain joy I get when I try something new with my son in mind. As I waited for the box to arrive I kept myself from spoiling the surprise by looking up on the internet what is was. I wanted the full experience of what paying customers get. When I saw the mailman with my Citrus Lane box I ran outside to get the box myself. The mailman might have not known why I was so excited for a giant box but to me this was a really great day. Any day where a box of goodies arrives at my house is a good day in my opinion!

I took the box into my bedroom and immediately opened the box to see what was inside. I was very impressed. The first word that came out of my husband’s mouth was “Wow!” If you know my husband it takes quite a bit for him to get somewhat excited over things I find kind of interesting.

Jackpot!

There isn’t a single item I received that didn’t disappoint me. I really love how I got items which cater to my baby at this very moment. Here’s a list of what I received:

My favorite item out of this box has to be the Chewbeads Bangle. I am constantly forgetting to bring a teething ring with me for Leo to teeth on when I’m at play dates. Because the Chewbeads Bangle is made of 100% silicone & BPA, PVC, & phthalate-free I can give my son a chew toy in a pinch.  The Me4Kidz Diaper Bag Buddy contains 25 baby essential items every diaper bag or first aid kit should have.

I have told my family, my friends, and my local mommy friends how wonderful my Citrus Lane box is. I am in love with Citrus Lane so much that I am saving money to get a subscription.  I don’t consider Citrus Lane a frivolous expense. I’m getting a wonderful array of products to help improve mine and my son’s life. And to me: That’s a lot.
