Are you out of your candy comas yet?
We had a great Halloween this year. Before we went out we had about 30 trick or treaters at our door. Last year we had no one. Holidays become something completely different when you have children of your own. We went to a local Trunk or Treat. Although Leo was one of the youngest there he did get a really nice t-shirt he might be able to wear in a year or two. . I’m looking forward to next year when Leo will be walking. We’ll also come up with something a little more creative than a lion. With Halloween out of the way it’s time to start thinking about the holiday season. Speaking of Christmas… it’s only 52 days until Christmas. I have yet to start any Christmas shopping. Oh boy.
We’re getting The Pickle for a second weekend in a row because we missed him a couple weekends back. I’m quite excited because it is another Home Depot Kids Workshop weekend. I believe this month’s workshop is a turkey napkin ring holder. My husband is rewatching the Lord of the Rings Trilogy with him. They’re on the second movie. I like to consider myself a geek but I can’t sit through Lord of the Rings. Is that blasphemy? Please don’t tell my husband I said that. I might never hear the end of it.
I’m hoping to make another goodie with The Pickle this weekend. Last weekend we made acorns. They were so simple to make. Maybe we might make those again.
If we don’t make acorns again I have a hankering for something with pumpkin. I love this time of year. Unfortunately my waistline doesn’t.
