Current Projects:
I originally started The Miracle Momma as a place to talk about the effects of PTSD after surviving an EF5 Tornado in Joplin, Missouri. Visit How I became The Miracle Momma for more information. I have shifted focus from the negative effects of PTSD to how I have overcome disaster (and dirty diapers!). I hope I am an inspiration to anyone who has suffered a traumatic event to stand up and walk again. The Miracle Momma has grown into a PR Friendly resource for women looking for recipes, reviews, giveaways, Pinterest posts, and much more.
I have worked with numerous Brands and want to continue to work with family friendly companies as my blog continues to grow.

My Family:
I’m a part of a blended family. My husband has a 7 year old son from a previous relationship I refer to on my blog as “The Pickle” or Ian. We get The Pickle every other weekend. My husband and had had our first child together in 2011. His name is Leo. My son battled reflux. I also have two cats as pets. Life is always interesting with two boys. We plan on growing our family in the next two years. We’re also a very tech savvy family. My husband and I have an extensive technical background. Prior to the tornado we had multiple electronics.
My Interests:
Technology is a huge part of my life. Ever since I was a little girl I was always trying to learn gadgets. I am always learning what the latest and greatest technology is. I love baking. I haven’t mastered made from scratch recipes yet so a lot of what I have used are box mixes. I like them as a base. Cooking is a passion of mine. I may not have the best baking skills but I think I am an excellent cook. I am a geek. I’m learning how to be more frugal and crafty everyday. One thing most of my friends don’t know is I collect Barbie Dolls.
