Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Although it is a day of giving thanks the holiday revolves around the food. Now hear me out. Have you ever thought of a Thanksgiving without a turkey, stuffing, and all of the sides? I didn’t think so. Thanksgiving can be a nightmare if you’re diabetic, have gestational diabetes, or you’re on a low carb diet. Let’s face it: A good majority of traditional Thanksgiving favorites are heavy in carbs. I had Gestational Diabetes while I was pregnant with Leo last year. It was SO horrible time finding recipes I could enjoy during Thanksgiving with my family. There were a couple moments where I almost gave up. I don’t want anyone else to go through that nightmare. Now that I am blogging I hope I can help others out with their Thanksgiving dilemma. Thanksgiving can be enjoyable if you’re restricted to low carb eating. I have found 4o low carb Thanksgiving recipes you and your whole family can enjoy with your low carb lifestyle. I have made a few of these recipes last year myself.
Just remember that if you’re a Diabetic or have Gestational Diabetes that not every recipe here may agree with your blood sugar numbers. I could not eat anything with dairy or fruit without a huge sugar spike. Be mindful to your specific dietary restrictions when preparing the below recipes.
